Quesnel painted it. The date is 1610. Marie (1575-1642) was the second wife of Henri IV of France and thus queen of France. Henri was of the House of Bourbon. She was of the wealthy House of Medici in Italy. Her husband was assassinated in 1610 and she served as regent for her son until her son took power when he was 17 and she was exiled.
