Incised Plate, 9th–6th century B.C., Mexico, Mesoamerica, Olmec, Ceramic, Diam. 10 1/8 in. (25.6 cm), Ceramics-Containers, This shallow bowl contains incised abstract designs on its center and along the rim in three places. Two parallel lines connect the crenulated designs on the rim. The inner design contains a circle filled with alternatin horizontal wavy and dashed lines, surrounded by u-shaped designs that create a scalloped border.

(16.2 cm), Ceramics-Porcelain, This breakfast service was presented by Napoleon I to Princess Auguste-Amélie, wife of his stepson Eugène Beauharnais, on New Year's Day of 1814. The overall theme of the decoration was described in the factory records as the 'loves of amors and nymphs,' and the title given to the scene on the tray was 'Accused Nymphs Appearing before the Tribunal of Love.

Vessel terminating in the forepart of a bull, Hittite Empire, ca. 14th–13th century B.C., Central Anatolia, Hittite, Silver, 7.09 x 5.04 x 8.46 in. (18.01 x 12.8 x 21.49 cm), Metalwork-Vessels, This silver horn-shaped drinking vessel (rhyton) is shaped in the form of a bull. The animal is in a kneeling posture and is fashioned from two pieces of silver joined by a grooved collar. The head, with its short neck, is massive and strong; the nose and the oval eyes and brows that once held inlays were all sculpted with great sensitivity.
